We The People Bring Kickstarter Products to Millenia Walk

Ever since the founding of Kickstarter in 2009, we’ve seen tons of cool products on the crowdfunding platform that simply blew us away. A drink cooler that completely chills your wine in thirty seconds, check. A travel jacket that also serves as a neck pillow, eye mask, gloves, blanket, and more than 10 other features, check. We could go on and on, but you get the idea.

Following the success of its first brick and mortar in Orchard Central, We The People – the only establishment in Singapore to bring in funded-with-Kickstarter-products – looks set to open another concept store on 25 March 2017.we-the-people-2

The retailer’s second outlet will be situated in Millenia Walk, boasting a multi-concept space that includes a workshop zone, designer zone, retail section, and a small cafe.

More than just a store, expect free talks about crowdfunding, product design, growth hacking, and startup culture by entrepreneurial experts. Similarly, a designer zone allows budding Kickstarter entrepreneurs who already have a product but wants to refine it before launching a campaign, serving as a market-testing platform to gather feedback from potential customers.

Need a pick-me-up? They’ve acquired a beautiful 1950’s Citreon Ice Cream Truck, from which they’ll operating a small cafe space. Test out products like the Cafflano Kompact and Hyperchiller as you make your own coffee on the spot, all of them available in the retail section, which will also stock an international selection of successfully-funded products that you’ll be able to touch and test before buying.

The best part? All products come with warranty.

After the initial launch, you can expect three to five new brands, fresh from the market, joining the fray every month alongside established products like Notabag, Kisetsu, Origami Unicorn, BiTool, Ungrip, and the award-winning Pebble.

We The People is located at 9 Raffles Boulevard, Millenia Walk, Singapore 039596, and 181 Orchard Rd, Orchard Central #04-03, Singapore 238896, p. +65 6341 9529.
