Summer Pavilion Releases New Celebrative Tasting Menu

Summer Pavilion has retained its one-Michelin rating for the third year running. In celebration of the accolade, Head Chef Cheung Siu Kong, together with his team of culinary experts, has crafted a new tasting menu with soul-satisfying dishes like Smoked Duck with Crispy Beancurd Skin, Sautéed Diced Miyazaki Wagyu Beef with Bitter Gourd and Black Bean sauce, and Poached Vermicelli with Abalone in Fish Broth. Priced at $168 per person, this celebratory menu impresses with culinary craftsmanship coupled with authentic Cantonese cuisine.

Kushikatsu Tanaka Launches Latest Mid-Summer Menu

Cloaked in golden breadcrumbs to give you that extra crunch, Kushikatsu Tanaka – Japan’s largest kushikatsu chain in Singapore – is back with a fresh-new seasonal menu, charged with a limited-edition range of deep-fried skewers and side dishes made from summer ingredients. With a selection that leaves nothing to be desired, diners can indulge in offerings such as the Amaebi Karage ($10) and Japanese summer favourite, the Unagi Kushi ($2.50). Pair your delicious batter of goodness with a refreshing Pineapple Tsukekomi Highball ($7).

The Botanist Presents the Bar Trench / Ars & Delecto Residency at Gibson

This weekend, cocktail enthusiasts head down for the next pop up in The Botanist Residencies Series at Gibson Cocktail Bar. The exclusive 10-drink menu is a collaborative effort between Gibson’s Aki Eguchi, Gento Torigata, & Silvio Daniele and Hisatsugu Saito of  Bar Trench (ranked 16 on Asia’s 50 Best Bars 2018) in Tokyo and Ars & Delecto, newly opened in Shanghai. Embark on a journey through the seasons as you taste the difference between the fresh, summery notes of basil and the warm, sweet taste of almonds in orgeat syrup, associated with fall.

Folklore Unveils New Heritage Dishes

Folklore comes to you with heritage-oriented, family recipes passed down for generations to Chef Damian D’Silva. These age-old recipes are presented in a new menu, which introduces dishes from Peranakan, Eurasian, Malay, and Chinese cuisine. Examples include the Prawn Sambal with Petai, a piquant and fragrant dish whose recipe was passed down by his grandmother while the Sotong Masak Sambal Belado was a recipe given by Chef Damian’s aunt, featuring perfectly cooked tomatoes and squids smothered by a rich, caramelised chilli paste.

Michelin Launches GastroMonth, a Month-long Dining Event in September

GastroMonth is back for its second year to fuel up hungry gourmands with a mouthwatering spread of dishes from more than 20 Michelin-starred restaurants at wallet friendly prices. Happening from 1 to 30 September 2018, this year’s lineup includes one- Michelin-starred Beni’s 6 course lunch ($88++), The Blue Ginger’s Peranakan dining experience ($65++), and one-Michelin-starred Summer Pavilion’s 6-course contemporary Cantonese dinner ($138++).
