Wild Child Pizzette

From the founders of trattoria Cicheti and Bar Cicheti, Wild Child Pizzette specialises in ten-inch pan pizzas that are pretty big on flavour. The Spianata Calabrese (S$19) is a hit with its tomato sauce and fior di latte, complemented with crispy salami and the sweet heat of Sichuan chili honey. Equally drool-worthy is the Cavolo Nero (S$18.50) with black kale blended with fior di latte, alongside sweet garlic confit and bagna cauda. Their Neapolitan-style dough undergoes sixty hours of slow fermentation for a dreamy, fluffy and chewy texture. Check out our full review here.

Wild Child Pizzette is located at 50 Circular Rd, Singapore 049405, p. +65 6970 6592. Open Mon-Sat 12pm–2.30pm & 5.30pm–10.30pm. Closed Sun.

Roberta’s Pizza

A recent addition to The Shoppes at Marina Bay Sands, Roberta’s Pizza hails from the streets of Brooklyn. The signature wood-fired pizzas are made with Roberta’s natural starter and a dough that was carefully nurtured over the past 15 years, resulting in a thin, airy crust. For a classic taste, The Famous Original (S$26) combines a tomato base and three types of cheeses (mozzarella, parmigiano and caciocavallo), whilst the Bee Sting ($28) surprises with salty calabrese salami, sweet honey flavours and a spicy kick of chilli. See our review here.

Roberta’s Pizza is located at The Shoppes at Marina Bay Sands, 2 Bayfront Avenue, B1-45/46, Galleria Level. Open daily from 11am-11pm.

Drunken Farmer

Combining the flavours of tangy, chewy sourdough with plenty of natural wines to choose from, Drunken Farmer serves up naturally fermented sourdough pizzas slow-leavened with a 159-year-old starter. Crispy crusts and chewy insides, the Margherita (S$18) is loaded with local basil and house-made creamy Stracciatella. On the other hand, the Anchovy & Pesto (S$23) seduces with its basil-pistachio pesto complemented with a briny punch of cured anchovies and balsamic vinegar. For our full review, click here.

Drunken Farmer is located at 11 Stanley St and 185 Joo Chiat Road. See here for more information.

Blue Label Pizza & Wine

From the same folks behind Luke’s Oyster Bar & Chop House, Blue Label Pizza & Wine serves up quality pies to a bangin’ soundtrack of 70s and 80s rock and roll. The pizza selection is eclectic to say the least, and is paired with a well-curated wine list. Get your mind blown with the Umami Bomb (S$31), an explosion of ripe flavours like anchovy and goat’s cheese, or enjoy a taste of Summer in San Sebastian (S$38) with coastal ingredients like Hokkaido octopus and chorizo ragu.

Blue Label Pizza & Wine has outlets in Ann Siang Road and Orchard Road.

Osteria Mozza

How can we talk about pizza and not mention Celebrity Chef Nancy Silverton’s Osteria Mozza? Housed in the elegant Hilton Singapore Orchard, this is the only Asian outpost of the Cal-Italian restaurant. Get a taste of wood-fired pizzas in 10  flavours, each priced from S$34++. Highlights include the indulgent Burrata pizza (S$40++) with slow-roasted tomatoes, or Silverton’s take on the absolute classic Margherita (S$34), and the cheesy Aglio Olio. Cut through the richness with the Roasted Chicken Salad, and chase with a signature cocktail like the Bellini Affogato (S$26++) for the perfect pizza feast.

Osteria Mozza is located at Level 5, Hilton Singapore Orchard, 333 Orchard Road, Singapore 238867, p. +65 6831 6271. Open daily 12pm-2.30pm, 5pm-10.30pm.

LINO

For the best vegetarian pies, you simply knead to know Lino. Their Burrata Pizza (S$31.92) is always a crowd-pleaser, where a mound of fresh, creamy burrata crowds a sharp tomato base accompanied by marinated cherry tomatoes and basil pesto. The more adventurous can try the Meatless Meat (S$31.92) pizza, featuring Beyond meat, baby kale, and mushrooms, with fior di latte, sesame seed, and an addictive teriyaki sauce.

Lino has outlets in Binjai Park and Forum Shopping Mall.

Extra Virgin Pizza

An oldie but a goodie on this list, this Lo & Behold Group concept is known for its fresh ingredients and hand-stretched dough made with soft-grain Italia Caputo 00 flour from Naples. For an insta-worthy option that tastes just as good, go for the Guanciale & Egg (S$28), a white-based pizza with béchamel, fior de latte, Italian cured pork jowl and an egg cracked right over the centre. Or, if its your first time, the Roasted Shrooms (S$28) is a sure win. Who can resist béchamel sauce loaded with cheese, roasted mushrooms and onions with lashings of truffle oil and rosemary?

Extra Virgin Pizza is located at Asia Square Tower 1, 8 Marina View, #01-04, Singapore 018960, p. +65 82994219. Open Mon-Fri 12pm-9.30pm.

Amo

A star in restaurateur Beppe de Vito’s pantheon of Italian restaurants, Amò serves up a wide array of Italian fare with flair. What really takes centre stage here, though, are the pizzas, sliding hot from the almond wood-fired oven in the open kitchen. Chefs Federico Schiraldi and Mary Cirillo spent two years in Puglia to perfect their pizza-making techniques prior to the restaurant’s launch, and it’s paid off in creations like the vibrant Pancetta, Spicy Broccolini, Pumpkin and Smoked Mozzarella ($28) and the creamy Stracciatella, Prosciutto, Rucola, and Fig Vincotto ($32). Toppings are added generously post-slicing. Check out our review here.

Count on this two-decades-old eatery for solid takes on the classics – think delightfully fresh Pizza con Burrata e Parma (S$29) and juicy Pizza Frutti di Mare (S$27). There’s also the crowd-favourite Pizza Con Carne (S$28), a meaty bonanza of ham, salami, sausage, and minced beef. For a less fussy option, look to the Pizza Rollo (S$27) with ricotta cheese, ham, and spinach in one massive roll.

Italian food and wine is a no-brainer, but hear us out on pizza and craft beer. At Pizza Fabbrica, the booze selection goes heavy on the hops, including beers sourced straight from Italy’s oldest brewery Birra Menabrea. These go down a treat with hand-stretched pizzas like the Mediterranea (S$22) – taggiasca olives and caper berries on fresh mozzarella – and the new addition to the menu, Prosciutto Crudo e Rucola (S$26) with mozzarella, rucola, and parma ham! Luxe up your pizza party with the Salmon e Caviale (S$38) laden with smoked salmon, caviar, and mascarpone cheese.

Plank Sourdough Pizza

The brainchild of Baker & Cook mastermind Dean Brettschneider, pizzas here are birthed from a 20-year-old sourdough starter, traditional stretching methods, and a special Valoriani oven. The selection is not named but numbered – (S$26), for instance, is the code for a scrumptious creation of pulled BBQ chicken, cranberry compote, and camembert. We love that there’s a pizza base option for those going gluten-free as well.

Plank Sourdough Pizza has various outlets across Singapore.
