While traditionally a Bavarian festival to celebrate the union of Crown Prince Ludwig to Princess Therese back in 1810, the Oktoberfest we know today celebrates a period of conviviality shared with friends and family – all while appreciating the food and drink of Germanic culture. We’ve rounded up the best places to celebrate Oktoberfest at this year, so look forward to tantalising beer promotions, authentic Germanic meat platters, and plenty of revelry.
