Rohini is the pretty host of The Rojack Show and Misprision. On air she is cool, confident and charismatic. Off-air she is a screaming terror to the production crew. In the presence of her boss Dominique, she is reduced to a nervous wreck.
Dominique is the owner of her own production company DJ Productions and is afflicted with the anxiety of comedy. Dom hates Roh because she sees her own past vulnerable self in her. Years before, to avoid shaming her family, Dom was forced to give up her baby. She then threw herself into her career and became the cold, tyrannical boss with a hidden past.
One day Dom fires Roh’s co-host Jack. Jack vows to come back to teach Dom a lesson. Unknown to Jack himself, he holds the key to all of Dom’s past, and her future.
So who is Rohini? She is the star of MISPRISION, the epitome of the map of mislaughing, and the cure to Dom’s anxiety of comedy.
The Characters
Dominique Joseph, owner of DJ Productions, which she inherited from her father. Nicknamed The Dominatrix for her tyrannical ways.
Rohinilatha Seethalakshmidevi d/o Balasubramaniam Shivaramakrishnan, anchor of two of DJ Productions’ talk shows, THE ROJACK SHOW and MISPRISION.
Jack Koh, Rohini’s co-host on THE ROJACK SHOW till he is dismissed. Goes to Europe and is spotted by millionaire Harold Bosco, who offers him his own TV show.
Harold Bosco, Dominique’s old flame. After being told that Dom had gone to the convent to become a nun, he goes off broken-hearted to the USA for his MBA. Settles there for 20 years.
Hari Vannan, flatmate of Rohini’s. Photographer, arty type. He is crazy about Rohini. Actually he is just plain crazy.
