habitat by honestbee Is Hosting MasterChef Australia 2018 Winner Sashi Cheliah This Week

In this age of technology, you’d think it was only a matter of time before a place like habitat by honestbee came into existence. And you’re right. Touted as the world’s first tech-enabled, multi-sensory grocery and dining experience, this is the IKEA restaurant of the future, the supermarket that might as well be on a spaceship headed to Mars. I mean, robot-powered collections points?

It’s no wonder that Sashi Cheliah, the much-talked-about winner of MasterChef Australia 2018 Season 10 wants to visit Singapore again, for his first public appearance after his win this year, no less. On 24 and 25 November, the Singapore-born chef — whose chicken lemak dish and pineapple tart with lime ice cream dessert took him to the competition’s finals — will be doing cooking demonstrations of his winning dishes as part of habitat by honestbee’s ‘Love Is In The Air’, a festive campaign celebrating nostalgic recipes and the coming together of family and friends.

On his menu is the Sambal Prawn with crispy prawn heads and herb salad (24 November), as well as a Roast Lamb with pea puree and beer battered cauliflower (25 November) — the latter highly praised by Gordon Ramsay, who we all know can be … ruthless. And of course, you’ll have the chance to meet Sashi in person after the demos at 2pm and 5pm each day. There’s even a priority queue for the first 30 customers who spend a minimum of $30 at habitat by honestbee, but the best part is really being able to recreate the winning dishes that Sashi has shown at home by picking up ingredients from a curated corner that will inspire you!
