Singapore’s own Afrobeat stalwarts Instigator Afrobeat Orchestra welcomes you aboard an enlightening musical voyage to witness the world in a new collective realm.
True to traditional form, Instigator Afrobeat Orchestra pays respect to the forefathers of Afrobeat while adding their distinct Lion City grit to the mix. Influences of Reggae, Afro-Brazilian music, Funk and Disco seep into their works to define a truly 21st century translation of the Afrobeat genre and beyond.
After releasing their debuts EP Singapura Vibrations with collaborations with Ray Lugo(Kokolo Afrobeat) & Victor Rice(Easy Stars Records). Their music is being played in radio stations in countries such as Denmark, Spain, Greece & Australia. Taking their unique South East Asian Afrobeat sound to the rest of the world.

Randolf Arriola
Internationally acclaimed Singapore musician Randolf Arriola is a live looping master with over 30 years of professional experience in performance, recording, production and broadcast. His unique music-making concept of live looping relies on his creation and processing of audio loops of his voice and guitar.

Arriola’s music is the sonic amalgamation of moods, textures and harmonies that embrace and expand beyond cultures and geographical space. Sounds and songs are dreamed up, formed and performed from strings of thoughts, intentions and imagination, woven into a sonic fabric unique to that very moment.

ANGEL FIGUEROA
Growing up to Jamaican-Cuban parents who loved music instilled in DJ Angel Figueroa a passion for music at a young age, especially for Caribbean rhythms, resulting in his transformation into an audiophile and eventual DJ—in the mid-1990s he was playing salsa at one of Seoul’s first Latin clubs. By the mid-2000s he was a pioneering salsa DJ and event promoter in Osaka, Japan, where he became known for a signature Latin vibe, resulting in his monthly salsa social (‘Shine’) achieving national recognition during its seventeen-year existence. Known for his attention to detail when building DJ sets with eclectic and rare grooves, Angel aspires to spin for both strict dancers and perceptive listeners. Currently based in Kyoto, Japan, Angel continues to spin Latin but also undertakes other projects as his repertoire expands to include electronica, afrobeat, nu jazz, and funk—to which he applies the same signature focus for creating unique soundscapes for the audience. Major international appearances include Los Angeles, Taipei, Amsterdam, and Hong Kong. He spins for the first time in Singapore at SENTOSA VIBE.

LAZY BEATz
Roberto aka LAZY BEATz is the founder and freelance DJ for LAZY BEATz Party Series.
He started actively organising afternoon parties in Central London back in 2012, by gathering House music Producers and DJs to expand the variety of London’s House music scene. The same year he organised a pop=up Afternoon party weekend session in the heart of Amsterdam involving local DJ talents specialised in House Music and performed a Sunday Afternoon Session in Zandvoort Safari Beach club by the Beach near Amsterdam.
A long while after relocating to Singapore in 2013 he started discovering the City and its gems. In 2015 he launched the first LAZY BEATz Pool Party event with the collaboration of Hotel Jen Orchardgateway.
Roberto has now completed over 70 successful events at the BayWatch Poolside including New Year’s Eve Parties, Hotel Jen Brand Birthday Party, White Dinner under the Stars event and many more. He is also a resident at a monthly Ladies Night event in the Hotel’s lounge bar on a monthly basis.
LAZY BEATz appeared in various bars/clubs/event venues in Singapore contributing to the local house music scene also enjoying invitations for Private and Corporate Events.
In 2016 He held residency at Gong Bar, performed at Wednesday Sessions at Headquarters (Boat Quay) & Mariko’s Japanese Bar by Keong Saik road.
2016 was quite a busy year for LAZY BEATz outside of Singapore. He has also been expanding his brand overseas, he was performing at Dream Beach Club,
Phuket (March 2016) , in June 2016 he played 3 Consecutive Nights at JIN Entertainment Bar, Shangri-La Hotel, Nanjing, China.
Towards the end of Last year he performed at Rendezvous Singapore Luxury
Lifestyle, Car and Yacht Show. JetCoin lounge was hosting a 3 day entertainment series where he took residency throughout the event weekend.
LAZY BEATz is actively releasing monthly Compilations on MixCloud and
SoundCloud where followers are able to check out his style and passion for
House Music.

Djing in venues across East London for the last 15 years DM brings the bump and hustle style to Singapore. Whether its dnb or tech house his sets are filled with funky drums and driving basslines.

Rumshot has always been passionately rooted in the music scene. Since his early years when he started out as a percussionist, and brass band player, he has always crossed many genres of music.
Rumshot continues to keep his roots firmly placed in the: Reggae (as founder of Dub Skank’in Hifi soundsystem ,co-founder of Singapura Dub Club & drummer for Reggae Remedy-Singapore reggae band), World Music (founder & drummer for Instigator Afrobeat Orchestra) and Brazilian / Latin(founder and ex-member of Wicked Aura Batucada; scenes, as well as a percussion / drum tutor, musician and sound engineer.
Since starting his djing career he has played in Manchester, London,Thailand, Bali, Cambodia, Vietnam, China, Hong Kong, Malaysia, Indonesia and Singapore. Rumshot has performed or opened for artists such as Johnny Osbourne(Jamaica), Tippa Irie(UK), Suns Of Dub(Jamaica), U-Brown(Jamaica), Papa U Gee(Japan), Ras Mohamad(Indonesia), Cojie Mighty Crown(Japan), General Levy(UK), Prince Fatty(UK), Ray Lugo(US), Dusty(Germany) & Conkarah(Jamaica), Dub-Stuy Sound(US), Denny Frust(Indonesia).

SUBMERGE
Lavin Raj, better known by his moniker as Submerge, is a DJ, Sound Engineer and vinyl junkie from Singapore. He has been DJing for more then a decade with an obsession for bass driven music, which earned him recognition in the city’s underground scene. He’s graced the decks at a smorgasbord of venues. Starting out mainly playing Drum & Bass, Jungle, then to Dub, He has collaborated and shared the stage with some of the most important names in Singapore, & also played alongside big international acts like Goldie, Roni Size, LTJ Bukem, General Levy, Johnny Osbourne, JStar, Prince Fatty, Logistics, A-Sides, SPY and Spectrasoul to name a few. His love for music had him hosting a weekly radio show with fellow DJ, Presha, on Meshradio for a few years. Renowned regional & global guests were featured on the radio show. Through his musical influences Submerge has also been flirting with Reggae rhythms, dancehall topped by warm layers of Dub and the cool hybrid of Grime!
