This October, Destination Singapore Beach Road launches a brand new bar menu at the Lobby Bar and Folklore that showcases Asian-inspired cocktails created by Zac Mirza of Kult Kafe – pioneer of cocktail culture in Singapore and moreish heritage bar snacks by Chef Damian D’Silva of Folklore – local heritage food champion. Sharing strong passion for local and Asian ingredients, both will come together to bring the local cocktail and bar snack culture to a new level.
The Kultail menu at Destination Singapore Beach Road features four refreshing concoctions – expect fiery piquant notes from chef’s sambal belachan in Bloody Belacan, the complex nuances of gula melaka in Kult Julep, a delightfully herbaceous Dill & Tonic, and the bright flavours of Kult Kooler.
While one’s thirst is quenched by the refreshing drinks, the appetite is satiated with five moreish bar bites specially created by Chef Damian. Savour heritage bar snacks such as Kong Bak Bao, flavourful braised pork belly clad in a steamed soft white bun, and delectable Crispy Kepak Kencur Wings. Relish Baked Sambal Buah Keluak served atop juicy portobello mushrooms, the local favourite Kueh Pie Tee, and Beef Rendang Sliders, Chef Damian’s unique take on the well-loved sandwich.
As part of this collaboration, a lively Kultail Masterclass will be held at Lobby Bar on Tuesday, 6 November 2018, from 3.00 pm to 5.00 pm. A cocktail making session of three Kultails with Kult Kafe bartenders. The Kultail Masterclass, for up to eight persons, will be available at $80 per guest (a minimum of four participants is required to form the session).
