33 AUCTION 2019 SINGAPORE ART WEEK AUCTION 26th JAN 2019

33 Auction is proud to present an exclusive selection of works for the 2019 Singapore Art Week Auction on Modern and Contemporary Art. The auction will commence on 26th Jan 2019 at 8 pm, at Grand Hyatt Singapore, The Gallery, Mezzanine Level. The preview will be hosted at MoCA@Loewen between 24th to 25th Jan 2019 10 am – 8 pm, and 26th Jan 10am to 5pm.

This Art Week Auction promises to be a visual feast, featuring masterpieces by pioneer artists like Liu Kang, Cheong Soo Pieng, Chen Wen Hsi, Iskandar Jalil, and Anthony Poon. Honed by decades of untiring artistic pursuit, their works represent the best of the Singapore art canon.

Following the success of our record prices for the works of Anthony Poon, we pleased to once again offer two outstanding works from his acclaimed Wave Series. Exemplifying the rhythmic and playful qualities of intersecting forms, the series brings out the beauty of geometric austerity.

Besides featuring the best of Singapore and Southeast Asian art, the auction will also feature a number of paintings by well-known Chinese artists like Chen Shuzhong, Xin Dongwang, and Vietnamese artist Le Pho. The works of these artists represent the finest assimilation of Eastern and Western artistic principles.
