Indian Award Winning Wines Blind Tasting and Paired Dinner

Buyan Pte Ltd and Taberna Wine Academy are excited to present wines from award winning Indian wineries, Grover Zampa and Sula, in a series of comparative tastings with quality wines from the rest of the world.

The Indian Wine World Series will comprise four taste-offs in March 2015 when some of the best of India will be compared side by side with leading examples from Europe and the New World. The tastings will then be followed by a pairing with innovative Indian dishes at Saha.

Indian wine recently made a splash winning international recognition at the 2014 Decanter Asia Wine Awards when the 2014 Sauvignon Blanc, Art Series, Grover Zampa was awarded an International Trophy. In addition Grover Zampa won four silver and five bronze medals at the Awards. Grover Zampa also won recognition at the Cathay Pacific Hong Kong International Wine & Spirits Competition sweeping six silver and nine bronze medals last month.

Another Indian winery, Sula, had its 2011 Shiraz Dindori Reserve listed 25th in the top 100 wines of 2014 by The Wine Enthusiast.

The first instalment of the Indian Wine World Series will be held on Wednesday 11th March at Saha, featuring white wines. All guests will be able to judge the wines and rank them during a blind tasting moderated by Tan Ying Hsien, wine educator and owner of Taberna Wine Academy.
