Blackout Agency returns in May with John Talabot and Tim Sweeney

After a month’s hiatus from the crazy first quarter of the year, Blackout Agency returns in May with two big parties featuring two legends; Spanish DJ, producer and label owner John Talabot at Escape 56 on 9 May and NYC‘s Tim Sweeney at Ritual on 18 May.
Ever since his debut in 2009, John Talabot has become one of the most sought after artists in the electronic music industry, with popular releases on labels like Permanent Vacation, Young Turks and his very own label Hivern Discs, which is regarded as one of the most forward thinking labels and is home to many talented producers. Having last performed in Singapore five years, ago, 9 May will see him taking over no-frills rooftop bar The Great Escape and his debut with Escape 56, a pop up party series between Blackout Agency and Jaegermeister that has hosted international favourites like Âme, Red Axes, Roman Flügel & Marvin & Guy.
Supporting the party is Indonesia’s Jonathan Kusuma, who will be dishing out everything from the cosmic to tribal, acid and everything in between.
The week after, Tim Sweeney will grace the decks at Ritual – another pop-up series dedicated to the music lovers who spent their weekends going out listening to music – at a currently unknown location. He last performed here in 2015 at Super 0 Openair. This time, he’s championing the brainchild of an 18-years old non-profit college project called Beats In Space Radio, which has been tirelessly pushing the electronic music scene in NYC and all over the U.S.A.
The radio show boasts an impressive lineup of American and International artists, from the up and coming to the legendary DJs which span across the spectrum of House and Techno. DJs like DJ Harvey, Motor City Drum Ensemble, John Talabot, DJ Tennis, Roman Flugel just to name a few. What’s more, our homeboy and City Nomads‘ newest contributor, Yadin will be on support duties for Tim Sweeney.
Zig Zach, owner of Blackout Agency also hints that he has many more acts lined up for the rest of the year and will continue to maintain his stand on “Quality, Not Quantity”.
John Talabot will perform on Wednesday, 9 May 2018 at The Great Escape. Pre-sale tickets are still available with entry before 10pm at S$35 while tickets at the door are priced at S$45. First 200 receives one free Jagermeister Mini & Red Bull with your ticket.
