One of the latest additions to restaurateur Beppe de Vito’s group of Italian restaurants, Amò serves up all kinds of Italian casual fare, but what really takes centre stage are the pizzas, baked in the almond wood-fired oven in their open kitchen. Chefs Federico Schiraldi and Mary Cirillo spent two years in Puglia to perfect their pizza-making techniques prior to its opening, which clearly paid off in star creations like the Friarielli, Pancetta, Pumpkin, and Smoked Mozzarella ($28) and Stracciatella, Prosciutto, Rucola, and Fig Vincotto ($29). Toppings are added on generously post-slicing so every piece has the same amount. Read our review here.

When our good friend Chef Shen Tan exclaimed her love for Alt. Pizza, we know we had to swing by and check it out. ALT probably has the most playful menu on this list – veering away from tradition, you can find names like The Hangover (vine-ripened tomato sauce, pepperoni, chicken fennel sausage, roasted onions), Dangerous Diego (chorizo, roasted onions and peppers, mozzarella, parmesan, garlic) or Buffalo Bill (zesty buffalo sauce, chipotle chicken, red onions, mozzarella, blue cheese). You get the idea.
