There’s something for everyone this week! Tech in Asia is back in Singapore with a team of  experts to get you up to date with the latest and greatest in technology. Asia’s first ever American whiskey festival, Whiskey Weekend will see a tasting bar featuring fine American whiskey, four of Singapore’s famous American-style  cocktail bars – Manhattan, Employees Only, 28 HongKong Street, and Skinny’s Lounge – serving up tasty tipples, backyard BBQ from some of the city’s most loved American chefs, banging tunes, and more. So why not sip on fine bourbon and rye, chomp on  some good ol’ American BBQ and let all that pent up stress fizzle out.

Whiskey Weekend is happening 20 May to 21 May, Saturday and Sunday, from 3pm till late, at The Great Escape, 6001 Beach Road #05-00 Singapore. Event entry and complimentary whisky tasting is priced at $20 nett per person. For more details, check out their event page here.

Tech in Asia Singapore 2017

Returning for their sixth run, Tech in Asia will be transforming Suntec City Convention Centre into a buzzing hub for all things electronic. Join techies from all over Asia as they connect with investors and future business partners, or just simply bask in the vibrant showcases at the event. For those new to the scene, anticipate to hear from the best worldwide, with the likes of the founders of Reddit and Razer, and perhaps up your game with the latest digital trends. Networking will be a breeze with the post-conference party, so minglers, get your name cards ready.

Take a stroll around the bustling marketplace at Open Farm Community and stock up on your local must-haves. Newly harvested produce like the homemade Cerena Honey and Kuhlbarra barramundi will be available on site, as will be the natural soy wax Hush Candles and freshly-baked cupcakes. Experts will also be conducting workshops on candle-making, urban farming, and many more. Come with your shopping bags, some cash, and an appetite to get the most out of this event!

Performing in Singapore for the first time ever is the charming singer-songwriter Julien Doré. Brought to you by Figure8 Agency, the award-winning French Idol is sure to croon his way into the hearts of many with just a one night only spectacle. Armed with his trusty ukelele and exuding nothing but talent and undeniable charisma, Julien offers a refreshing new sound that titters between the realms of electronica and chanson française. You might want to skip dinner because you’ll be eating out of his hand by the end of the night.

Urban Ventures

Returning for its sixth edition amidst the verdant greenery of Duxton Plain Park, Urban Ventures is, yet again, transforming a public space into a platform for people, arts, music, and food. Curated by Singapore-based design studio LOPELAB, expect to dine outdoors, wander through decorated tunnels or even do some yoga on the streets, with our familiar cityscape as the backdrop. The ideal way to gain a new perspective of our island home for sure!
