5 Things To Do In Singapore This Week: 23rd To 29th September 2019

This week, it’s all about the partying (though really, when is it not?). Singapore’s booziest F&B industry party, The Bar Awards, returns to Zouk with free-flow cocktails and bartending pop-ups. On the musical side of things, party DJs EATMEPOPTART are throwing us a delirious club rave, while there’s a lineup of fresh-faced indie musicians at SCAPE. After all that hard clubbing, have a vegan cleanse with Singapore’s first-ever Vegan Festival.

Reimagine A Clockwork Orange with Teater Ekamatra

Unsettling in its depictions of youth crime and state punishment, Anthony Burgess’ A Clockwork Orange is a timeless glimpse into the violent undercurrents which underpin many societies − possibly even our own. Singapore arts company Teater Ekamatra brings us a bold local adaptation of Burgess’ cult classic, in Malay no less (with English subtitles). The setting? A repressive state where most citizens live in complacent stupor − save its restless, angry youth. Expect lots of explosive drama that hits close to home.

A Clockwork Orange by Teater Ekamatra will run from 25 to 29 September 2019 at Esplanade Theatre Studio, 1 Esplanade Dr, Singapore 038981. Tickets are priced at S$35 via SISTIC.

Feel The World Beneath Your Feet with EATMEPOPTART

Party masterminds EATMEPOPTART are blessing us with another night of buoyant jams and mad moshing. In The World Beneath Our Feet, resident DJs weelikeme and KiDG will set the house alight with their wild blends of indie rock, punk, and electro sound. This blowout will have you dancing till you’re dizzy, and way beyond.

The World Beneath Our Feet by EATMEPOPTART is happening on 27 September 2019 from 10pm to 4am, at Phuture, 3C River Valley Rd, #01-06 The Cannery @ Clarke Quay, Singapore 179022. Single tickets are priced from S$18, while ‘Gang of 4’ tickets are priced at S$64.
