5 Things To Do In Singapore This Week: 10th December to 16th December 2018

This week – if you’re still in Singapore – we’re seeing a whole lot of Christmas festivities (including the return of Christmas Wonderland at Gardens by the Bay). Otherwise, there’s a booze and seafood extravaganza to look forward to, and a one-of-a-kind comedy night that also features fine dining.

Here’s something for fans of experimental music. New initiative, Playfreely, returns with a robust lineup of genre pushing musicians performing over three nights of transcendent rhythms and sounds. Be prepared for the likes of Singaporean indie-electronic duo [.gif], sound-scape designer and musician Koichi Shimizu (Bangkok), founder of avant-garde music label 2pi Records, Li Jianhong (Beijing) with his free improvisation guitar music, and more.

Invisible Bodies will be happening from 12 — 14 December 2018, Wednesday — Friday 8pm, at The Projector, #05-00 Golden Mile Tower, 6001 Beach Road, Singapore 199589. Tickets from $25 a night, available here.

Fine wine, fine food…comedy? Yes, you read that right. Have a good laugh while enjoying a three-course dinner menu ($90++ per person, additional $40++ for wine pairing) at SKIRT. Let local comedy icons – Netflix star Fakkah Fuzz and Sam See from Channel 5’s comedy panel OK Chope! – entertain you with a range of slapstick jokes and snarky insults in this special comedy night event that might have you spitting good wine in hilarity (but please don’t, really).

Stand Up, Asia! will be happening on 12 December 2018, Wednesday 7pm, W Singapore Sentosa Cove 21 Ocean Way, Singapore 098374. For reservations, please call p. +65 6808 7278 or email [email protected] .
